Leeds United fans on Twitter are hopeful that Marcelo Bielsa will stay at the club no matter what their fate is after the playoffs conclude following his latest comments.

The Argentine has taken Leeds to the next level this season, but question marks were raised over his future at the club after they narrowly missed out on automatic promotion.

Bielsa has had a tendency to have short tenures at teams he has managed. He left his last two jobs very promptly, lasting just two days at Lazio before calling it quits at Lille after less than six months.

The 63-year-old settled some supporter’s nerves on Friday as he said that he wouldn’t be adverse to staying at Elland Road even if the club fail to go up this year.

The Whites will have a lot of work to do in the summer if they go up, but keeping their manager should be their priority and the fact that he’s suggested he will stay on has provided an enormous boost to the fanbase.
