Jenni Hermoso, who helped Spain to World Cup glory in 2023, has announced that she is joining Mexican side Tigres in an “incredible” transfer.

The former Barcelona forward is taking on a new challenge for 2024 as she severs ties with Pachuca. Said move is keeping her in Liga MX Femenil, with the prolific 33-year-old excited to be making a fresh start after previously taking in two spells at Barca and also turning out for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, it is being reported by that Hermoso is expected to appear in court on Tuesday as she prepares to give evidence against Luis Rubiales – the former president of the Spanish FA. That case relates to the kiss that Rubiales planted onto Hermoso’s lips during the 2023 Women’s World Cup final medal ceremony.
