Liverpool put a halt to their woeful run of three consecutive defeats across all competitions and all at Anfield last night, as Jurgen Klopp’s side battled to secure a 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea. The Reds had their work cut-out during the game, forced to fight back from behind after David Luiz put the Blues ahead and seeing Simon Mignolet save a second-half penalty from Diego Costa to keep the game level. In the end though, the positive result for Liverpool sees a side that has struggled in the past month boast a record that nobody else can this season- as the Reds have remained undefeated against all of the Premier League’s top-six.
Securing 13 points from those games, Liverpool have beaten Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea so far this season and have an impressive record with three remaining matches against their top-six rivals.
Liverpool will have to keep this run of form going against the top-sides in the Premier League if they are to secure a top-four spot, with big challenges on the horizon in the coming months as they host Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal in the next six weeks, before travelling to face Manchester City in mid-March.
