Tottenham Hotspur missed the chance to move ten points clear of Chelsea in the English Premier League on Tuesday night, failing to beat Brighton & Hove Albion away from home.
Taking the lead through Harry Kane just after half-time, Spurs looked destined to go on and pick up a comfortable three points. However, just two minutes late they conceded from a penalty.
It was an under par performance from Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who haven’t yet secured their top four status and qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season.
Fans were left frustrated with the result and performance, believing most of their problems came from a poor midfield display.

Particular criticism was aimed at Moussa Sissoko for ponderous passing and a lack of ambition going forward, with fans looking for more creative players to feature in a match they were always going to dominate possession in.
